St. Francis Xavier the Missionary
Council # 10957
“In Service to One, In Service to All”
St. Francis Xavier, The Missionary Council has a short, yet distinguished history.
In 1992, 37 members of St. Francis Xavier Parish gathered together wanting to create their own Council. The request was made and a charter was granted on October 7, thus creating Council 10957. In the 19+ years since then, we have grown to over 60 members. Since our beginning, our council has earned the Order’s highest award, the “Star Council Award”, over 2 times. We are in Maryland’s District #8, Father Andrew White Assembly #377.
Our Council meets twice a month, on the second and fourth Tuesday’s, usually consisting of one Business and one Social or Officer’ meeting.
These meetings follow a set procedure that allows the members to hear the status of the Council, District and State programs. Also, each member has the opportunity to speak and present their specific concerns and ideas.
Our Fraternal activities include a variety of functions and activities that support the Church, Community, Families and Youth;
